would you classify this as erotica? I guess you could at a stretch. Maybe an erotic melodrama? It's been compared to the early works of Russ Meyer and cited as an influence upon the films of Victor Manuel Castro and both seem like apt comparisons. There are moments of over-the-top eroticism but it's more about admiring a voluptuous beauty running free around her village. |
