Always remember, The alphabet is your friend
I have a master list of "what I have" and notation as to whether they are on VHS or DVD.
Where there are two in the same box, I make note on the list and file by the first alpha title.
Shelved alphabetically EXCEPT for a few select actors whose films are kept together on a shelf.
...also the special shelves for horror, musicals and Shakespeare.
BUT the all mixed up method is a great way to keep reminding yourself of what you have !
