Funny thing about "A" is that I do rather enjoy doing that. One whole hallway is shelved with movies and I tend to acquire films in batches and move things from shelf to shelf as needed (when I get around to it or get annoyed enough because things are "lost" on the "unshelved" shelf.)
What I do when I get new movies is write them in the "master" list book on a page opposite the printed pages so that that are in the vicinity of being where they belong.
Then when it gets too messy, periodically do an update to the computerized list.
DVD's and VHS's are easier to label than those little jewel cases so re-labeling and numbering has never been an issue for me.
Have never considered clouding.
