So, you STILL have a VHS player? Wow...watch out!! That non-digital stuff may soon be a thing of the past. However, if you still have a VHS player, it may be a collector's item within our lifetimes.
There are some movies that NEVER made it to the digital format. For example: Dark at the Top of the Stairs, Swamp Water, Kentucky , etc.
For many years a had a combo (DVD and VHS) player. I really enjoyed it because I was able to record something on TV and then dub it onto a homemade DVD. OR Dub from a VHS to a DVD in order to save it before it faded. So, many of my DVDs are of this homemade variety.
There are so many movies that are lost because no one bothered to save or restore them. I would love to see some of those things...for example, how can one find The Pied Piper (1942)? Maybe check out E-Bay to see if it has ever been recorded by someone........
