Actually, no, you're talking out of your ass based on the score. The defenses were solid. First pass by Hoyer was picked at the 28 and returned to the 3. The long pass to Watson was defended well but he made a Willy Mays over-the-top catch. Both defenses caused and recovered fumbles (Niners got 2 recoveries). If you didn't already know how the teams were before the game, you'd have thought both teams were pretty good. Might not be a moral victory for SF, but they are better than we thought. Sounds like an Aesopian case of the Fox & the Grapes. The Rams defense on the 49ers last possession was stellar. Unfortunately, had to miss the end.
