I've decided I like Motherwell, wherever that Godforsaken place may be after watching the second half the other night. Motherwell were probably better in the first half than in the second, it was their best performance for some time, years probably. And while the town itself is indeed godforsaken, the people are unusually friendly by Lanarkshire standards, and it's a good place to watch football too. 6000 is an above average crowd for them, it has to be said, being so close to Glasgow as it is, the place is infested with people who prefer to watch one of the twins of evil instead of their local team. Yeah, didn't know it was on so only caught the last 5 minutes of the first half. |
