Look, 860M World Wide is great, but you know damn well Sony was expecting 1B+ WW.
If you told Sony they could share Spider-Man with MCU, and they'd only make 100M more, they'd have just stuck with their own Spidey-Shared Universe idea.

It's no secret BvS underperformed, who said it didn't? The potential is higher for D.C. Because their characters are more well known. For example, the opening day Friday was higher than Avengers and Jurassic World, but Saturday and Sunday dropped sharp due to lukewarm reception, then the second weekend was a huge drop. However, of BvS was universally liked, it would have probably grossed 215M+ opening weekend.
