If all these just toned down the lame attempts at humour and silly gags especially during serious moment's, they would be half decent films. Everything like the Mandarin reveal, the silly jokes during the airport scene, the stupid antics of Darcy during the final battle, the lame dance off with Ronan, Ultrons humour level, the childish Tommy the Tank engine setup, the goofy Casper the ghost moment with Rachel McAdams. All should have been erased and replaced with better writing.
But no, MCU movies are default comedies and cant miss any opportunity to make the audience laugh at detriment to tone.
The Mandarin reveal was pretty smart.
The jokes during the airport fight were to make it clear no one there really WANTED to fight or kill one another except Black Panther (who was humorless, see the contrast?).
The Ronan thing was a distraction, and you'd be complaining no matter WHAT they did to distract him.
Ultron's humor was no different from Magneto's humor in the X-Men movies.
It was a little kid's room, what kind of stuff you think will be in there?
Uh, that spirit fight in Dr Strange was awesome.
Basically you want all inventiveness removed in place of something bland and generic, like the X-Men movies.
