Tony Stark (I know, I am in the minority, I don't like how RDJr plays him) Pepper Potts Vision Agent 13/Sharon Carter Ant-Man Spider-man Oh you don't like a motormouthed 50yo going on 8yo with Tourette's syndrome Tony Stark? Me neither. Tony is supposed to be suave yet serious. Also do away with the douchebag beard and leave the moustache. That's the real Tony Stark. I think my issue, in part, was that the Tony Stark I loved from the comics has only been hinted at in the last couple outings for Movie-Stark. The comic version that was my favorite, was the recovering-alcoholic Stark who was still working through the last couple steps on his 12-steps program, who still could be a smart mouthed jerk at times or the ultimate charmer at the drop of a hat, yet he came home and just sank into a chair with a sigh because it was so much more work than it used to be without alcohol to numb himself. That was the Stark who tried to help Warbird (aka Mrs.Marvel/Captain Marvel) deal with her lack of connection to her memories, who actually felt sorry for Steve Rogers rather than butting heads with/making fun of the Super Soldier, and who treated Pepper Potts like the trusted old friend she was. Movie-Stark is just... boring. I say this as someone who never cared for Steve Rogers in the comics and who was dreading how boring the CAPTAIN AMERICA movies were going to be-- yet I see the movies and they are the opposite of the comics for me. In the comics- I'm all into Iron man/Stark as this great character while bored to death with Captain America/Rogers, yet in the movies-- I am so Team Cap that I could easily annoy a Marvel exec and I tend to lose all interest when Stark is on screen. Plus, in the movies, he's mean. In the comics he could be biting at times, but he almost instantly would try to backpeddle and apologize or try to explain, but in the movies he is downright mean spirited at times.
