The Rat Patrol (1966)

I watched quite a few episodes last year.

I think of it as a '60s version of a video game, slam bag action with little interest in nuances of character.

One of the few exceptions to this is a favorite of mine: the one where Steve Franken (!) plays an American deserter who has set himself up as a wheeling & dealing desert kingpin. Franken gets to play the debonair heavy role usually played by somebody like Gerald Mohr.

I'm surprised TRP has never been revived as a feature.
