no, true story. I did not even know what Bronies were before the raptor plagued IMDb. Well, he claims he was a Brony only for a short time a few years ago. Technically, a Brony is someone who is into the 2000 series and goes to conventions, but the raptor is into this stuff since ever and adores the early Pony stuff that is considered unwatchable for homo sapiens older than 6.

He is the author of the My Little Pony Chronicles, and he is active in the My Little Pony Lexicon (Pink version of this forum see link).

I think the other Bronies just hated his guts (who could blame them considering his bully halfwit meltdown charms) and just kicked him out, there were several on IMDb who passionately loathed and despised him (calling him the "asswipe")
