Could do or it could not, horror's tend to have huge drop off's after a few weeks, Conjuring was the biggest recent success to go off of and they had less a decline week to week than It did, even though they made $114m in their first 3 weeks in the following 12 they only took in an additional $23m. It's higher drop off could kill it's momentum, though with Halloween coming up It may get a good boost in a few weeks, but whilst $60 is possible it's not easy by any means. Yeah, but "The Conjuring" didn't make 30M it's 3rd weekend in release. No it made $13m but it also started off lower and had less drop off per week than what It did, if It continues to decline as it has week to week it maybe able to make another $60m but maybe not, if it continues to drop off at it's current pace by the 1st week of Nov it would only earn an additional $36m give or take and then meander after at around or less than $1m a week, which wont be enough to hit $60m.
Obviously it could do it if it's drop off shrinks or if it gets a surge thanks to Halloween, but then this is when you see more horror flicks come out to compete with It in the market which could shrink it's audience even more, hence my point $60m could be possible but wont be easy given the genre & upcoming releases.
