Washington is the heavy favorite in the East and rightfully so, but how many teams in the East do you give a shot at making the final barring major injuries?
I think the 2-4 Metro teams are all certainly capable. Boston? I think it's possible, if not super likely. Montreal if Price plays at a .930ish level? Maybe even Tampa if they get in and maybe if Stamkos comes back.
I'm not saying I'm crazy about some of those teams' odds, but the East seems like it has a few more possibilities than the West. Can you see someone other than Chicago, San Jose or Minnesota coming out of the West?
Nashville? Anaheim? I just don't see it.
