Terminator 2 ends the story and slam the door as hard on the possibility of a sequel as one can, and it shows. Part of the reason the sequels have all sucked is because even trying to continue from T2 is just nonsensical. And saying that Judgement Day is inevitable was stupid, but T3 had sort of the logical idea by suggesting that it was only delayed. If AI can be created, then one day it will be, suggesting Sarah and co will probably keep having to push it off.
