When Carolina first started playing, they were in the NFC West. Heck, New Orleans was in the NFC West for a long time. After expansion Tampa Bay was in the AFC West and then NFC Central. Figure that one out. Sometimes it's unavoidable but it always annoys me when they throw random teams into divisions. I think the current NFC north is the best division from a geographical purist point of view. Don't even get me started on the current state of college conferences. |
