I sort of agree with this part especially as no other character talked liked that within the film, its like he stepped out of another universe into this movie.
That is actually the reason his dialogue does work for me. It's because that feels like it is saying his character is pretentious, for lack of a better word.
Also the more I ponder K's story arc, the more I feel his arc mirrored Batty's actually.
