Uh, yeah, that doesn't work. Rocket tried to do exactly that mere moments before and Ronan just knocked him aside with the power of the stone. He'd have batted Quill away in less than a second and then just brought the hammer down. Like I said, the key was getting Ronan TO PAUSE by distracting him. Quill is not strong enough to distract Ronan in a physical confrontation for longer than the blink of an eye. Good to know you obviously weren't paying attention. You also ignored my other points, such as pointing out Quill dancing his way through danger in several other scenes in the film and one of the general themes being "people dancing through life and hardship". So yeah, your suggestion is complete garbage and would have ruined the film. It is a big deal, because its a non-issue you chose to be bugged by. Well I tried with you. I don't get why you're so damn hostile. It was a simple and intelligent conversation and then you decided to get nasty. It's all about opinion. This scene ruined the movie for me, but you loved it. The fact that the Joker is so smart and powerful ruined The Dark Knight for you, but I loved that aspect of the movie. People have different views on movies. That's all part of watching movies. No, this is about you blatantly misunderstanding the film. I actually paid attention while watching it, so I actually know what I'm talking about. I guarantee that if the releases of Guardians and Ghostbusters were switched and the former had nostalgia on its side, you'd be singing its praises. And if the latter had come out in summer 2014, you'd be saying the Staypuffed Marshmallow Man scene was too goofy and ruined the film for you, instead.
