Eastwood may have had quotes in Fistful of Dollars, but he didn't carry the movie even if he got more quotable lines. The main drive of the film was the conflict between the Baxters and Rojos. The main drive of the movie was Eastwood between the two sides. His face was on the poster, not them. Imagine the movie without him. Not so interesting. So he's a plot device, wow what an achievement. |
