coldenhaulfieldin the end, does it really matter? ; it's very clear cut that homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of Jesus Christ who is part of The Holy Trinity which is God. people like you just don't want to hear the truth so they default to insults and the like. the Catholic church is the one Jesus Christ started and the one He guides. the pope is infallible when it comes to faith/morals. official church teaching on stuff like homosexuality won't be wrong to say the least and it's pretty clear cut it's immoral. also, not everyone can be right in their interpretations of things in the bible which is why you need one authority. That's obviously a false claim there since i do know some of my Catholic faith and what i said about homosexuality being immoral is quite concrete when it comes to Jesus Christ as while He loves everyone He is not going to act like sin is no big deal. also, it would be difficult for the average person to learn every little detail about it as people likely spend a lifetime and still can't get it all as i am sure it can go quite deep the more you learn. i try to learn what i can here and there but it's not like ill ever be some high up theologian. but in a basic sense the important thing is... try to avoid sin, have a daily prayer life, and try to be nice/charitable to others when you can etc.
