making one of the most obnoxious characters gay isn't i would have thought the best way to introduce kiddies to the concept of gayness. Of course, we all know that homos are all exceptional and wonderful people. but if the argument (and it appears to be) that having a gay character teaches kiddies about the wonder of diversity, making one of the most horrible characters gay doesn't seem to be the way to go. They might have done better to have made cogsworth and Lumiere a gay couple, or have mrs Potts coming out of the closet and into the wardrobe or something. |
