POINTLESS? It's one of the most symbolic and existential sci-fi films ever made. Maybe it needed a comic relief played by Rob Schneider... There's the hyperbolic attack from the annoying fanboy I expected. They seem to like any movie categorized as sci fi even if it's a fundamentally flawed turd that was polished 6 times. At least Demolition Man has social commentary, forward momentum, and one alternate cut. Demolition Man is a shallow social satire imo and is nowhere near as compelling as Blade Runner. |
