These performances are fine but they are NOT Oscar caliber performances.
1. Richard Dreyfuss, The Goodbye Girl
2. Eddie Redmayne, The Theory of Everything
I actually like all these performances quite a bit.
3. John Wayne, True Grit
4.Jean Dujardin, The Artist
5. Leonardo DiCaprio, The Revenant
6. Rod Steiger, In the Heat of the Night
7. Paul Newman, The Color of Money
8. Art Carney, Harry and Tonto
9. Cliff Robertson, Charly
10. Peter Finch, Network (only because he won over DeNiro in Taxi Driver)
