Hi wmclain. Regarding the appropriate comparisons that are drawn between groundbreaking shock duo 'Peeping Tom' and 'Psycho', I have the same issue with both movies; very little emotional investment in what unfolds before me. But I enjoy both movies a great deal on a technical level. Beautiful write-up, thanks. [good call on the casting of Anna Massey for 'Frenzy' (1972) - I like her too] Speaking of Frenzy, that is the movie that really takes the movie goer as peeper Hitchcock thing to it's sleaziest. Probably the most uncomfortable Hitchcock movie to watch at times. Did Hitch receive a similar backlash to Michael Powell? Feels like he got away with one thanks to boasting his substantial ouvre of considerable hits.
