"You fuck with my family, you die."Following the tragic death of his partner, Chicago DAE agent John Hatcher (Steven Seagal) are thinking of going into retirement. However, those plans are immediately put to an rest when his own family becomes the latest target by the Jamaican drug lord known as Screwface (Basil Wallace). But the only thing that he and his gang gets out of it, is a vengeful and furious family man that will do whatever it takes to hunt them down and destroy their drug business for good.Ok, not exactly groundbreaking stuff, I know and once again Seagal, the "ordinary" family man loses out a close friend and partner early on, his family is attacked and well, bones are gonna break like twigs, eyes are gonna get mashed into peoples brains and heads will be lost as Steven goes on a brutal rampage to hunt down the bad guys and even takes a trip to Jamaica in order to locate and then dislocate Screwface. One of the funniest and most brutal of Seagals classic movies. He sure do enjoys giving his victims as much pain as humanly possible. Breaking arms, legs and just in such a nasty way, that, I think death is sometimes more tempting than to survive an encounter with an angry Steven Seagal. Beside lots of hilarious fight scenes and Seagal kicking ass, the film is probably most famous for having a, well almost even final fight, where Basil Wallace as Screwface is actually giving Seagal a hard time, for a few seconds. But of course, it will lead up to one of the nastiest and most memoralbe villain deaths in any action film. I was angry as hell when I found out that my scandinavian region 2 (might be UK) was cut to pieces, and I think several minutes was edited out and it ruined the entire film. Luckily I found a region 1 version not long after, that contained the scenes that I had seen on VHS earlier. In other parts we find Keith David, Joanna Pacula and Danny Trejo. While maybe not Seagal's finest hour, it sure is his most bone-crunching movie and one that must be seen in uncut version.
