Even after the advent of color television, many movies and TV shows were produced in B&W to save money. Are any mainstream TV shows (network or syndicated) produced in B&W anymore? When was the last time a TV show or movie was produced in B&W because of cost savings. For example, I know Schindler's List was in B&W, but that was to enhance the time-frame of the film, not for cost savings. IMPO - I agree with politicidal excellent question here too  . I also think these days Black & White Filming is more for a certain style or to set the tone for a past storyline scene than it is for saving money on filming TV programs or movies  .
