I personally believe that everything has a place. Any person should be free to protest against what she or he considers to be a valid cause but sports stadium (at a time when a game is being conducted in it) is not something that I believe should be an avenue for political messages. He could do the same after the completion of every game outside the stadium. I believe sports should be kept away from politics. But then some people may not think like me and I don't have anything against them. Except by playing the anthem and regularly having to 'show respect' to the military by having them come on the field/court/ice is politicizing the event. |
