It was a very good year, 1947. Especially good for medium and lower budgeted films. I think of Desperate, Repeat Performance, The Beast With Five Fingers, High Barbaree, The Web, Desert Fury. This trend would continue for a few more years, into the early Fifties, ended circa 1951-52.
