It's a lot like the WWE vs WCW war in the 1990s. WWE was the company that had been around longer and had the tradition. WWE had the biggest stars (e.g. Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Macho Man Randy Savage, etc.) WCW was the upstart company that came along and both companies had a cable show at the same time slot on Monday nights (WWE had Monday Night Raw and WCW had WCW Monday Nitro). For awhile, WCW gained the upper hand. WCW reached a new level of popularity with the NWO. WCW was the 1st to have the company's "boss" (Eric Bishoff) become a heel and WWE would do the same thing with Vince McMahon becoming a heel after WCW did it.
But WCW's success was temporary. In the end, WWE bought out WCW and WCW became defunct.
The DC vs MCU war is similar. DC is like WWE, the older and more established company with the biggest stars (e.g. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman). MCU is the upstart that has come along and created their shared universe and DC would do the same thing with the DCEU.
And just as WCW's success was temporary, MCU's success will most likely be temporary too. In the end, the older and more-established WWE won the war against the upstart WCW and likewise the older and more-established DC will win the war against the upstart MCU.
Dude you got ur history all wrong, fix that shit.
Also WCW's success in the 90's was due to hiring all the names from WWF adding them to the WCW names and having a "war", the failure of the company was due to outright bad management which led it to always being in a position where to even turn a profit required them to do consistent sell outs 200+ shows a year.
DC & Marvel are in now way comparable to the Monday night wars, the balance will shift it always will DC dominated the landscape of CBM's for the first 25 years because there was little to no competition, then Fox came in and made it competitive, Spidey then jumped in and dominated for most of the 2000's, DC regained control briefly to end the 00's & start the 2010's on top, meanwhile Marvel came in strong and competed for the first 5 years for silver, but in 2012 Marvel too the lead where it has remained for the last 5 years, and that's the thing it's a marathon not a sprint each brand will lead the pack for a while then fall back a bit then move up again and so on.
