I still haven't seen a single POTC movie.

It'll be interesting to see if Jurassic Park/World is the same for me after Fallen Kingdom. I've been unspoiled so far but the early reviews seem very mixed.

BTTF could be one for me when I see the series again, it's been so many years. Remember BTTF2 being my favorite as a kid but now that could well change.

I Know What You Did Last Summer is another. Though IMO only the original is good.

Godfather Lethal Weapon Beverly Hills Cop I know What You Did Last Summer Matrix Harold & Kumar I may add Austin Powers to the list. As a kid, the second was my clear favorite, but I don't think it's aged as well-ish as the first one.

I've never seen the Austin Powers sequels. Liked the original as a kid back in the day.

As a kid, the second was my clear favorite, but I don't think it's aged as well-ish as the first one. I'm the exact same here. The second (Spy Who Shagged Me) used to be my absolute favourite, but now I think I prefer International Man of Mystery. Both are hilarious though. Actually, the second may be my personal favourite but the first is objectively better. It's more rich in its humour. But Goldmember was easily the weakest one. Took itself a bit too far for me.

That post actually reminds me how I've yet to see the Harold & Kumar sequels as well. Love the original but for some reason have yet to get around to either of it's sequels. I remember the original being absolutely hysterical.

Yes, they're in the same canon so they count.

Some come close, but the problem is that almost always the odd number ones are best and the even number ones are horrible.
If Jaws 2 would be last, the Jaws series would count. Jaws 2 is easily the very worst of the series. The order, of course is Jaws, Jaws 3D, Jaws 4 the Revenge, and Jaws 2.
Jurassic Park would work if we could flip flop 2 and 3, or put 3 on top.
Robo Cop and Starship Troopers are two that start superb and everything after is trash, so they may count.

The first is more about parodying James Bond and spy conventions, whereas Shagged is mostly potty humor and 1999 pop culture references. The former holds up a bit better for me. I still love Mini Me, though. And I agree, even as a kid Goldmember felt stale.

After seeing Fallen Kingdom, I'd say Jurassic Park/World is no longer a series I'd rank in order of release. I'd rank Fallen Kingdom in third place, above the third and fourth, but well below the first two. Fallen Kingdom wasn't too bad really, but there's the feeling the series should call it a day, although the way it ended has me intrigued as to what they'll do in the next film.

Agree on Iron Man. Still need to see The Matrix sequels, I've only seen the original. The consensus seems to be that neither sequel is very good.

Anybody else wish NeonManiac would stop posting the same threads and bumping them endlessly? He's been posting these for YEARS and on several other forums. This guy's a certified nutcase!

Lethal Weapon could be another for me after I see 3 and 4 again. I remember liking 4 more than 3 but it's been so long. I feel the original is clearly the best.

I'm headed to see this again and see how it holds up to a second watch. I enjoyed it well enough when I first saw it but the script issues stood out to me, so let's see how that might affect take 2 for me.

And indeed, Fallen Kingdom breaks the pattern of the Jurassic series going in release order for me. Though the original three definitely are in descending order for me.
