ice follies of 1939. is not found anywhere. not for free or streaming while under a plan. would love to see it but as i mentioned before... not found. i don't think i will hate it, it has one person i love and another person who fascinates me in it. but there is basically no way i can/will watch it. It's a perfectly competent if minor light drama that covers territory well explored in many other films of the time, that of marital discord brought about by career conflicts. I don't know where you're located, but it's turned up in the U.S. on Turner Classic Movies, and may well do again. To the best of my recollection, it's most notable for the performance of Lew Ayres. As a point of curiosity, it's one of only three films* - each exactly a decade apart - in which Crawford appeared in Technicolor before finally making her first full feature in the process ( Torch Song, 1953), and in each of which her color footage was limited to only one scene. Here's a frame grab from that Ice Follies final reel: ![](http://www.joancrawfordbest.com/39icefollies11june1.jpg) The other two were Hollywood Revue (1929) and It's A Great Feeling (1949).

Bridge on the River Kwai The Deer Hunter I no longer have the patience to sit through a movie that's longer than 2 hours. The best movies are the ones that make you wish they were longer. You can watch them in parts, these days. I would normally never consider watching Cleopatra from 1963, but it's 3 hour plus running time I might do in pieces. Maybe not.

I watched "Birth of a Nation" in a Film Studies class once. I didn't know about it beforehand and it shocked me to see a movie where the KKK were the good guys. When I mentioned it to my girlfriend at the time, who was a consumate SJW (long before the expression was coined), she was outraged and wanted me to complain and report the professor who had showed it. As for the question in the original post of the thread, I guess my answer is "Moonlight". I have no desire to watch it, regardless of the positive reviews and the awards. "A Serbian Film" is another movie that is relatively famous that I have no desire whatsoever to watch.

Which indicates you've judged that movie before seeing it, a.k.a. already hate. Well, that's just not true. Indifference does not equal hate.Ā Nah, it does.

The Sound of Music. For the most part, I'm just not a fan of musicals.

The Sound of Music. For the most part, I'm just not a fan of musicals. The on location bits are spectacular. But unfortunately the actual story was grossly fabricated. Maria was hired to tutor one child who was recovering from something major back then but 'considered a cold' now. Mrs von trapp was alive when Maria was hired. He was enamored with her. She wasn't. Mom dies and mother superior talks Maria into marrying CPT von trapp when she didn't love him. (Srsly, mother superior?!)
