Oh jeez not another reboot. How about more original movies instead?

Reading the OP's link, it mentioned a 'Morpheus' film. I'd love to see that...no interest in a reboot of what I already saw. I dig the universe they established...let me see more of it!

bad idea to reboot, leave it dead or do a sequel if it makes sense

If they really insist on making another Matrix film, wouldn't a sequel or spinoff make more sense than a reboot?

• reboot, nay sequels / prequels • Michael B-grade Johnson "Palaios", nay Daniel Kaluuya • no Wachowski traps invovlment, so likely another Jar Jar Abrams type job

This is talking about doing a remake of something from the late 1990s and early 2000s. That is way too soon.

It will be a waste of time and money.
all sources indicate there won't be a back to the future remake while Zemeckis and Bob Gale are still alive.

They need to stop making remakes of good movies, thusly making them worse, and focus on remaking bad movies, and try to make them better.

So this is a case of "cinematic universes have become this huge thing, so what IP have we got that we could turn into one?"
Zak penn is working on this - has he ever written a decent film?

Eh, why not, "The Matrix Rebooted" script and title write themselves. The gift that keeps giving.

They can justify it being a stealth sequel thanks to Colonel Sanders's speech in Reloaded.

They need to stop making remakes of good movies, thusly making them worse, and focus on remaking bad movies, and try to make them better. Good point this. I have seen many a lousy movie (straight to DVD, etc) based on a promising story or containing interesting characters. Often created by novices who formed a team because they had an original idea but lacked the funds or experience to realize it properly. Seems to me that these would be a safer bet to remake to avoid odious comparisons.

Never understood complaints about reboots/remakes/sequels...go for it as far as I'm concerned. Have no interest in it but don't care if they do it
