I voted for 8, & you didn't put Spider-Man 2 or Scott Pilgrim in there. I know Pilgrim is a comic but didnt think of it as a superhero comic.. i love that film

Without Spider-Man 2, this poll is invalid and pointless. LOL

Yeah, which is why I'm confused you'd reserve spots for the aforementioned Origins, either Hulk movie, and Punisher 89 but leave out what many including Roger Ebert called the best of the genre. Could care less what Ebert or any one else thinks. If there had been 60 spots allowed on the poll im sure all the lesser dc and marvel films would be listed

The 2 that aren't in your poll that would also make my Top 10 are Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man 2.
1. The Dark Knight 2. Batman Begins 3. The Dark Knight Rises 4. X-Men 2 5. X-Men: First Class 6. Logan 7. Spider-Man 8. Watchmen 9. Kick-Ass 10. X-Men
HM: Unbreakable, Hulk, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Ant-Man and The Avengers.

If there had been 60 spots allowed on the poll im sure all the lesser dc and marvel films would be listed Hulk (2003) is one of the best comic book movies ever made as far as I'm concerned. Roger Ebert likes Hulk more than many of the more well liked movies that also made the poll btw, including X-Men, X-Men: First Class, Batman and Spider-Man (2002). Here is his very thoughtful review that I fully agree with. www.rogerebert.com/reviews/hulk-2003The reason I like the film so much is because it is really a thoughtful drama packaged as a superhero film, but I assume that is exactly the reason most people dislike it. Plus Hulk is one of my favorite comic book characters.

However, if I'm making a poll for best superhero movie, I'm going to include the ones most people like. Not exclude them in favor of one, as you yourself stated, "most people dislike". Otherwise, why make the poll? Apparently to project onto others that Spider-Man 2 is "lesser" than X-Men: Origins.

I was basically responding to your use of Roger Ebert as your main source. X-Men: Origins is the one that has no business on the poll, especially over Spider-Man 2. I know darksidebeedle hates Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies but leaving what is often considered one of the 10 best superhero movies off a poll called "The best Superhero movies" just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

If you are interested, Roger Ebert's Top 10 favorite superhero movies list would probably look something like this. This list is obviously excluding movies made after 2012. Superman Spider-Man 2 Superman II The Dark Knight Batman Begins Iron Man Watchmen The Incredibles The Crow Hellboy / Hellboy II He also likes Blade II, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Phantom a lot.

I like the first half, but dislike the second half.

Well these are in no way superhero films I think she might be confusing comic book movies with superhero movies.
Timecop is based on a comic book series and a comic book series was made based on the movie Robocop.
I think a pretty good case can be made that The Punisher isn't a superhero either though and I personally don't consider The Crow a superhero movie.
