which of the two Mendes Bond films do you prefer?
neither are among the best entries, but Spectre gets tremendous points for effort. Skyfall was just utter tripe.
what say u?

I've heard Skyfall considered to be among the best. It's the better of the two anyways.

Skyfall. Then Spectre. You have to see them in order. But Skyfall is way better.

I saw both films at the theater and I think both are very good, but I would give Skyfall the edge.

Easily Skyfall, I'd say it along with Casino Royals were the two best Bond movies.

Skyfall. Christoph made it seem like I was watching Django in a Bond film. Hope he's changed for any future film.

casino, skyfall, then spectre (I felt the script's third act was literally uncompleted and they just winged it) and after the world has obliterated itself, quantum.

... Spectre by far; I saw it twice in the theater and would probably consider it one of the best post-Connery 007 films (in other words, a good movie). It is visually stylish and classically graceful, and the movie tickles some humanity out of Daniel Craig.
Skyfall, conversely, struck me as more of a bloated modern action movie whose protagonist happened to be named "James Bond." Outside of the occasional homage and an intriguing yet underdeveloped idea, the film seemed motivated by the concept that needlessly prolonging the running time would equate with a greater box office gross. Some shots were impressive, but overall I deemed the film excessive and empty, with little to offer outside of Adele's stirring theme song.

Skyfall ; it's my #1 Bond movie. but Spectre is not far behind as my favorite Bond movies are...
1.Skyfall (2012) - 8.5-9/10 2.Casino Royale (2006) 3.Licence to Kill (1989) - 8/10 4.Goldfinger (1964) - 7.5-8/10 5.Spectre (2015) 6.From Russia with Love (1963) - 7-7.5/10 7.Dr. No (1962) - 7/10

'Skyfall' by a mile. 'Spectre' was the video game version of James Bond mistakenly put to film -- instead of PS4/XB1/Steam.

Both were equally terrible in my books. The whole last stand in the castle in Skyfall was just pathetic. Spectre was equally forgettable. And turning Blofeld into Bond's foster brother??!?!?! What is this? Star Wars???

What is this? Star Wars??? I enjoyed Blofeld's reappearance, replete with the white cat. I felt that his presence—in a new form—constituted an intriguing homage to 007 history. I agree with you about the endless castle sequence in Skyfall, which is what I was getting at in my first post.

I enjoyed Spectre a lot more than Skyfall, though Casino Royale still remains my favourite of the Craig era Bond films.

In the Pantheon of 007 Films...
Skyfall is somewhere between 15-10 in the top 15. Spectre is somewhere in the 15-20 range.
I'd put Casino Royale in the top 5.
