And now Syndergaard is heading to the DL with a ligament strain on his right index finger (his pitching hand). 10 day DL stint, which in Metland means he'll be out of action for 6 weeks. I hate baseball. More importantly, it clearly hates me. You’re welcome to hop on the Phillie bandwagon.

Never!! Your buddy on this board is taking up too much room I just don't understand it, they have ZERO luck with everything. It’s the curse of Bernie Madoff. Contrary to popular belief, the Wilpons actually made out OK in that, insofar as they were able to recoup their investment. It's funny because the Wilpons are actually wealthy and made out OK. It's the Long Island widows, small-ish business owners and pension funds that got fucked out of their money by Madoff. The Wilpons are just cheap fucks who spend money foolishly more often than not.

Astros bullpen shits the bed yet again as they lose to the Yankees, what is with them? They cannot find a closer despite having a lot of good relievers.

jake arrieta signing coming up roses thus far. they make a splash at the trade deadline (i.e. bring Hamels home) - wrap up a WC - it's just what Harper needs to see come this Winter Meeting season and sign here the machado watch is also on as rumors have been swirling - personally i think a team would be nuts to trade for him this trade deadline - but maybe he can be had for 50 cents on the dollar being the Os may risk getting nothing for him

He’s committed to testing the free agent market. Nobody should trade for him.

I don’t know Manny Machado from Manny Moe and Jack, but what seems clear is he’s more interested in dollars than anything else. Not criticizing, just saying what it seems like. The Phillies can throw as many dollars his way as they want without giving up young prospects. They are not winning the World Series this year and probably not next season either. Just be patient and let the players come to them.

Nola vs Kershaw tonight, with the latter just off the DL going 5 innings and gave up 4 hits 1 run. Phils up 2-1 in the top of the 7th and need to win to split the series 2-2.
