The Dark Knight of the Ohio River? Matt Harvey looking solid in his Redleg debut. 4 IP, one hit (should have been E9).
We will see how he likes pitching the The Great American Hitters Paradise.
So far the Reds announcers have called him "Doug Harvey" and "Brett Harvey". Next telecast for Steve Harvey and Harvey the Pooka.

Scherzer with another brilliant outing, 7 innings, 1 run, 11 K’s as the Nats defeat the D-Backs, Scherzer is just an awesome pitcher, love watching him.
What is the problem with the Astros offense? Yet another terrific Verlander start goes to waste, their offense is just anemic despite having so many talented hitters. Everyone except Altuve and Correa are underperforming badly.

Chris Sale throws 561 pitches because Alex Cora doesn't dare go to the bullpen. I guess Dumbrowski couldn't cough up a few bucks for bullpen help. All you had to do was watch a few tapes to see how shitty the pen was up to Kimbrel. The pen will be the difference between the Yanks and the Sox. Jake Arrieta pitches a masterpiece, 7.2 IP, 5 hits, zero runs. Phillies phucked up closer throws a BP session and the Mets win. If I'm Jake Arrieta, I pound this ineffectual asshole after the game. Surprised this doesn't happen more. 3 blown saves already for Neris and an ERA of 5.17....... next closer up please - don't care if you have to experiment with a starter who may have disappointed over the years (Vinny V) - and stick him in the closer role to see how it works - maybe he'll thrive in the role. they're 22-16 and looking good - yeah - it's early but can't have your closer blowing games left and right .....

The Freak pitched here a couple of days ago. He and his glove had a trial separation.

D-Backs snap a 6 game losing streak and defeat the Brewers. D-Backs offense continues to struggle but their pitching has been excellent, both starting and relief.

I've been watching and, despite the score, Harvey isn't fooling anyone. Quite a few "Loud outs". Adam Duvall pulled his irons out of the fire with a nice catch. 3 innings, six hits, no pitcher's duel by the Bay today.

Adam Duvall pulled his irons out of the fire with a nice catch. 3 innings, six hits, no pitcher's duel by the Bay today. The Not As Dark Knight calmed down some. Only 4 IP, the Reds are nursing him, which isn't a bad thing. Wait to see how he does in Cincinnati. That ballpark doesn't forgive pitchers who can't keep the ball on the ground. If I was a hitter with mediocre power, I'd rather hit at Great American than Coors.
