I didnt like it. Maybe if they had played up the "entering other movie universes" angle. They couldnt even afford to show King Kong.

I actually liked Charles Dance's Performance as the Main Villain in the Movie.

My strongest memory of this film was it unofficially signalled the end of quality 80's R rated action forever. Arnold doing all he could to persuade families to watch his new movie... all the while it had no chance up against the Jurassic Park machine.
Oddly enough, I've always thought Last Action Hero might've had a better chance with a stronger child actor combined without the R rated action king Arnold starring. The idea was fresh. The execution felt like Disney ride, & I think we all know that film rides at that time were kinda overrated.
