They all get angry when they fail and come down to join us in the cash strapped pits of non-league... see it every year.
Getting dumped out of the league is a four stage process. Stan went through it last year.
Anger - it's an outrage! Denial - we are too good for non-league. Resignation - oh well it's done now. Acceptance - we are no longer a league club.

They should focus on all they have to look forward to in the bowels of the conference next season.
-lower attendances = easier parking -reduced club income/cheaper ticket prices -refs of dubious knowledge/experience -no transfer window = borrow players off who you want when you want -less segregation = more interaction with opposition fans (not always a good thing now you have to play Halifax... twice) You will get to see your team of professionals taken apart by a team of part-timers -you visit some 'interesting' grounds/fields -stewards are either do nothing, anything for a quiet life types, or total psycho violent headbangers -you get to moan about the state of Leyton Orient's pitch on social media (every national league club and supporter has this season, so why not join in the fun). -you get to experience time travel if you go to an away game at Holker Street in Barrow. It's like somewhere out of the mid 20th century. And only 2nd to Halifax on the chance of random violence scale. To be fair, all the Barrow fans I have drunk and chatted with at games have been a great bunch. It's the Holker Street local yoof who will try and bushwhack you outside the ground.
