Oh, Matt, I forgot an errand I have to run and time is running out to do it! I'm so sorry. Thanks for your confidence in me (it remains to be seen if I warrant it). But I really have get this thing done. Been putting it off, and it's the last day. Thanks for another great game though, even if it wasn't my best. Every contest you participate in is one of your best, Spider. See ya next game.

I missed your question on Brotherhood.
I'm going to look for it.

I missed your question on Brotherhood. I'm going to look for it. That's OK -- I can repeat it here. BROTHERHOOD was first done as a live TV presentation in the 1950s. What actor played Ford's role in that?

Cameron Mitchell.
But I can't remember who played his father. Pat O'Brien?
Joanne Dru was in it, but I don't think it was in the Rosemary Forsyth role.
I have never seen the original TV production, but I had looked it up.
Actually, my bonus question for you is completely similar to yours.

Yep, Pat O was Cameron's dad in that earlier version. And if that's the case, your riveting and wirthering question should not interfere with the BR -- so ask away.

One of Glenn Ford's movies was based on a television production.
The lead actor was an Oscar nominee.
Which movie, and who played it on TV?

One of Glenn Ford's movies was based on a television production. The lead actor was an Oscar nominee. Which movie, and who played it on TV? RANSOM! -- Ralph Bellamy in 'Fatal Decision'
This was also a contest question that missed the final cut. It would have been paired with the following:
There was another GF film at about the same time that was based on a live TV production. His role was not played by an Oscar nominee, but the antagonist in the plot was (and played in the Ford film by an Oscar winner).

Your amazing!
I just stumbled over this today.
When I saw Bellamy was in it (and got an Emmy nomination) I assumed he was in the Ford part.
Who did play the Ford part?
It looked like Sam Levene played the reporter.

It looked like Sam Levene played the reporter. Yep, it was Ralph in the Ford role -- and he repeated it a couple of months later by popular demand. That production did not have a happy ending, unlike the film version.

Are you saying the boy was killed in the original? Actually it's open-ended with the father left to ponder his awful decision.
