The Rock is so overrated, and I am sick to death of him.
Jason Statham works better as a supporting character
The best of these three is Vin Diesel, but that's really not saying much.
My vote goes to Scott Adkins.

I picked Jason Statham. He's such a badass.

The only one who really has it is Johnson, but he's a giant so there's not that much he can really do.

For some reason, I can't stand Jason Statham movies. I find his fight scenes to be boring and overly choreographed. I find Michael Jai White movies to be very similar. ttheir characters never break a sweat or look like they are ever in any danger. Schwarzenegger, Stallone, JCVD - these guys got their asses kicked.
Vin Diesel had a chance to cement his place as the number one tough guy (in modern times), but he blew it. He was so intimidating at one point, but made too many bad movies and is not in good shape anymore.
The Rock has made some pretty bad movies still, but he has the it factor and has probably made the most movies that I like out of the three of these guys.

Statham is the only one who is tolerable, even though I don't understand half of the things he says.
Diesel is the worst!

My vote goes to The Rock, as I think he is the only one of the three actors who comes any close to having a bit of the classic "larger than life" charisma that a truly great action hero should have, such as Sly and Arnie. And just as the guys mentioned above, I also find The Rock being a far more likeable guy in most of his movies, compared to Vin Diesel, who just looks bored out of his mind in almost every film I have seen him in. And Statham comes off far too many times as trying too hard to be the biggest bad ass there is, and it does not work well for me. I did however enjoy his comedy-action roles during the late 90s/early 00s, before trying to become a huge action star. I agree. That is one of the biggest issues I have with many action films of today, when you rarely sense that the hero are in any kind of danger, and while looking at Arnie or Sly in their peak days, even when killing off an entire army on their own, they got beaten up pretty badly and it never once became boring or dull, while now even Steven Seagal's pathetic (DTV made in Romania) fights sequences seem often more "realistic" done compared to stuff like Fast and Furious 7 or was it 8?.

I thought Jason Statham was surprisingly funny, very funny actually, in Spy. I'm repeating myself, but I really can't stand his movies. His fight scenes are to choreographed. They look rehearsed. Plus, he suffers from Michael Jai White and Steven Seagal syndrome – they never get hurt. Hell, I think they barely even get hit. Schwarzenegger, Stallone, JCVD for the best action guys of that era because they were larger-than-life figures who did larger-than-life things AND still got their ass kicked enough that they seemed human. Dom in the later F&F movies just became a joke. The movies themselves became a joke. I go back and watch the first one and Vin Diesel was legitimately intimidating in that movie. Paul Walker's character was terrified when Dom found out he was a cop. But those movies just got so stupid and Dom became unbeatable, even as Diesel became more and more out of shape. The Rock hasn't made a lot of great action movie, but the other two are so bad that I choose him. Plus, he's really good in action comedies.
