There are a lot of sad songs I have heard over the years but these are two that come to mind by Martina McBride.  Concrete Angel is truly a sad song. |

Concrete Angel is truly a sad song. Independence Day is such a great song. She does have a great voice. |

This is a pretty sad song. Two drunks taking a 3 day break from each other and sleeping with other people. Sounds like an Amish rite of passage.

I remember after first hearing that Mahler how surprised I was that it hasn't been used more in popular media. Years after I first heard it I fianlly heard it played in a film: Birdman (the best picture winner from a few years back). The Albinoni is heartbreaking too.  |
