So Doc was better than LeBron and Durant? I went back and forth between KD and DrJ. Could have gone either way. No, Lebron was not even in contention.

Yeah, I would choose McHale because he was tall and long, great shot blocking timing, could shoot, and those post moves were the best I've seen. Who would you pick?

Where do you put Ewing in terms of All-Time Centers? Got to be Top 10, right? (at least IMO) - I think he always gets overlooked when mentioning the greatest Centers of All-Time - probably because those 90s Knicks never managed to bring home a title. He played in a era with beasts though - Robinson, Shaq, Moses on his way out, Hakeem - even respectable bigs like Smits....

I thought he got a little more attention playing in NYC than if he had played in Portland. Kinda like Robinson...big guys so of course they could effect a game...but not the first names that pop into my mind. Hmmm...interesting. Top 10 centers....I'll just throw it out and see if I change my mind later. 1-Wilt/Russell/Kareem/Duncan (I'm not buying that "power forward" claim) 5-Hakeem/Moses 7-Shaq I would need to know more about guys like Willis Reed, Walt Bellamy, Artis Gilmore, Nate Thurmond, Wes Unseld, Elvin Hayes to fill out a top ten really.

He was like a snake in the low post twisting opponents into knots. I actually had a tough time with my teams because I kept switching logic between 'Who was the best' and 'Which guys would work best together on the floor,' the latter of which shouldn't be the criteria on an all-time list. With that in mind, I got a kick out of Hakeem and McHale being on the floor on the same time. The amount of twists, turns and up fakes in the post would cause vertigo in the crowd, let alone their opponents.

I think you can argue the above - and I'll get hated on this like my opinions on Bird, McHale, Parrish in regards to D.J.- but they were such a tremendous unit that fed off of each other (which is why I put Barkley, Malone, Nowitzki over McHale) - but I think those Celts teams individual 'Icon Status' results are more of them being such a collective unit of terrific players and superior ballplayers rather than the best in the game. i.e. - take D.J. off of these Celts teams and is he really TJ McConnell? Take Bird off of these Celts teams and is he really Robert Covington? Take Parrish off of these Celts teams and is he really Amir Johnson? Take McHale of those Celts teams and is he really Ersan Ilysova? <--- Prepares to get tomatoes thrown at him.

OK Ill do mine:
First Team PG - Magic Johnson SG - Michael Jordan C - Hakeem Olajuwon (YES IM TAKEN ONE HOMER PICK, BITE ME!) PF - Tim Duncan SF - Larry Bird
Second Team PG - Robertson SG - Kobe Bryant C - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar PF - Russell (If that's cheating, I cant decide between Malone and Barkley) SF - Lebron James (Sigh.....cant deny the douche nugget)
Third team (WHY NOT!) PG - Curry (Or maybe Nash) SG - C. Drexer (Homer pick 2!) SF - J. Erving PF - Malone or Barkley C - Shaq
Now for some fun: Top 5 all star teams of the NBA RIGHT NOW!
PG - Curry SG - Harden SF - Durant PF - L. James C - KAT
Team 2: PG - Kyrie SG - Beal SF - G. Ant PF - A. Davis C - Embiid
Team 3: PG - Westbrook SG - Olapido SF - Klay Thompson PF - B. Simmons (So many good guards) C - Capela
Team 4: PG - Lillard SG - K. Walker SF - P. George PF - D. Green C - Gobert (He just got out played by Capela...prisoner of moment...maybe)
Team 5 PG - CP3 SG - K. Lowry (If him and Harden can work why not Kyle L!) SF - Demar D PF - Horford (He could do it) C - Cousins (Gotta see what he does now)
This is going off the top of my head. Sorry guys like Dragic and Drummond. Adding Simmons was hard too because he's so unique. Personally I think Simmons is more talented than Embiid but that's the position game. This was me bsing.

Never been much of a fan of either Stockton or Nash. I realize they were very talented but I have no enthusiasm for either. Even though he didn't have the careers of either, I would rather have someone like Mark Price. I thought Maurice Cheeks the perfect fit for the Sixers. He only needed to be able to hit the mid-range shot (which he did) and keep the offense going, surrounded by players like Toney, Dr J and Malone. Any team that can sweep the 80s Lakers in the Finals needs to get more recognition. Dennis Johnson was an all star before he ever got to Boston and very underrated. No ego at all. He was the ultimate team player and when he teamed up with Bird it was devastating for other teams. Not a great deep shooter but an excellent mid-range shooter. I think Bird even said he was the best player he ever played with.
