......political issues than audiences overseas? Ghostbusters (2016), Wonder Woman and Black Panther all received the largest share of their box office takings from domestic audiences and not overseas audiences. Most blockbusters' BO takings are roughly in a ratio of 1:2, Domestic:Overseas. The aforementioned movies clearly buck the trend.

Before jumping to any conclusions imagine what experiences are like for each individual person.

Well part of it is those movies were made by US studios with US politics in mind. The rest of the world isn't interested in US politics and agendas.

Of course...but the SJW spin on those issues is a US thing. Other countries wouldn't demand that male characters be written as morons to make the female characters look smart for instance. They know you can write both of them smart and that's not an attack on women.

1. Because majority of other countries aren't as stable as North America and are too busy with other more important shit to worry about political issues. 2. Because majority of other countries don't have as diverse a population as North America. 3. Because majority of other countries accept the idea of stereotypes (if not necessarily the discrimination it comes with). 4. Because majority of other countries are not interested in pandering to snowflakes just to save someone their feelings. i.e if you're fat they'll call you fat.

Because politics make people angry and people love being angry. Or at least that's what it seems like it to me.
You know if I was running the United States, I'd legalized prostitution and all drugs. Maybe than America will chill the fuck out.

Same reason why Chinese films do insane numbers in china but make next to nothing at the "domestic" box office, different cultures have their own take on universal issues, which don't always translate, but a lot of times America & american's just thinks their take has to be the worlds and it isn't.

Americans almost always think that their culture represents the rest of the world.
