Came to say Jack Torrence. Jack Sparrow is good as well. Oh, how about Drunken Master?
From TV: Tyrion Lannister and Jessica Jones.
Best portrayal of one is probably Nic Cage in Leaving Las Vegas.

My favorite line from Tyrion Lannister. My favorite comes from probably his most drunken moment:

In āThe Case Of The Lucky Legsā (1935), Warren Williams plays Perry Mason as an alcoholic ā although a charming one ā who is trying to reform. Mason was never seen like this again.
Bing Crosby got an Oscar nom as Best Actor by playing against type in āThe Country Girlā (1954)
The crew of insular alkies who live their entire lives in Harry Hopeās bar (including Harry), sleeping upstairs at night and drinking all day downstairs in Eugene OāNeillās āThe Iceman Comethā (1960 starring Jason Robards, Jr. and 1973 with Lee Marvin).
Charlize Theron is perfection itself as a burnt-out alcoholic author of a Twilight-type series of YA books in āYoung Adultā (2011)

I'll go with Milland. Hate the character, love the performance.

Billy Bob Thorton is pretty much in a perpetual state of drunkenness throughout the movie Bad Santa (2003). I havenāt seen the sequel, but I imagine itās much the same.
