I've blocked someone I find annoying.
But the threads they started still appear because people I haven't blocked comment on it
is there a way to make the threads they started also disappear?

You can go to your block list by going to your Profile and clicking "Edit Profile". From there, navigate to Privacy and at the bottom of that screen you will see a list of blocked users. There should be an option you can select to block threads. If it doesn't appear the first time, reload the page. Save your settings and their threads will be invisible.

Odd. They still appear on mobile but not desktop. Oh well Try clearing your browser cache, exit browser, and reload. because if that was happening on a desktop you can force a page reload by holding SHIFT and pressing refresh/reload.

Odd. They still appear on mobile but not desktop. Oh well You may have to do it for both platforms. I believe the information that you want to block their threads is stored locally. I'm not certain because I don't use mobile for this site but I do know that the thread blocking feature is a plugin so it must use information stored on your device to block threads rather than server information. That is to say, just do it again on your phone.

bartlesbyI just signed in on a backup computer I got and everything is the same. hence, it's not stored locally but tied to your sign in name.

The plugin is storing information on the server using Proboards API. Unfortunately, now I have no idea what the problem might be. Perhaps cache clearing did the trick for him?

bartlesbyYeah, it's simply a matter of having it reload from the site instead of the browser cache which is why I suggested clearly browser cache and then exiting and reloading the browser and then load the site and see if that works. but on a mobile I am not sure how to force a reload from the site instead of the browser cache as on Firefox on a desktop you simply hold SHIFT and click refresh/reload the page and that should cure it if there was a problem on the desktop.

Go to PROFILE
Go to EDIT PROFILE (right side of screen but not far right)
Go to PRIVACY SETTINGS
Scroll down to the twit you put on ignore.
Click all that apply.
SCROLL DOWN to the bottom.
CLICK on SAVE CHANGES.

thanks everyone. I couldn't stop it from showing up on mobile. The options aren't there for me. But at least I can avoid their annoying posts on desktop

Vodkiecome to think of it... what browser are you using on your mobile phone? (my guess is your using Chrome assuming you got a Android based phone) ; it might be worth trying Firefox and as a bonus you can install uBlock Origin on it for general ad-blocking. p.s. I am just taking a guess here... but I wonder if mobile browsers don't have certain features needed for the 'block' features of this site to work(?)

I have chrome on it. but I don't like chrome on mobile. I don't want to block ads on this site the ads help support it to keep it going. It's probably just an error on the mobile site.

VodkieHell, I don't like Chrome on desktop either as it's a bit of a RAM hog etc. but I do think that Chrome is more battery efficient than Firefox is on mobile phones. but probably not significant enough to care unless your going to be away from charging your phone for quite some time. but I guess it boils down to how much you want those people to be blocked on your mobile for this site whether it's worth looking into Firefox (along with a decent ad-blocker) on your mobile or not. p.s. I think the Samsung browser is Chrome based, but I could be wrong as I am not sure on this. but since Chrome is the dominate browser in general it's likely people will use it in general for browsing the internet. Fair enough. but as a general rule using internet without a quality ad-blocker sucks. try watching random YouTube videos without a decent ad-blocker as they seem to be flooded with ads instead of loading up the video straight up like it should be and does once you got uBlock Origin loaded into Firefox on desktop/mobile etc.
