IMDb changed the rules for the Top 250 a few years ago. The top 1000 voters decide the rankings now.
Infinity War had a 9.3 score from regular Users, but only an 8.8 from the top 1000 users.
The film must also have 25,000 votes to qualify for the top 250.

The Dark Knight was transcendent. Infinity War is what it is... actually, it's half of what it is, with the other half not due for another year.

The Dark Knight has a 9 rating from 1.9M voters.
