I always felt a certain creepy vibe and arrogance from him and always thought he was overrated. The only thing I ever liked he did was his range of impressions. So is he done for good? If he is, he better be careful with his money and have some wise investments. Your thoughts on KS? www.liveleak.com/view?i=332_1345421418

He's a great actor, but I felt the same way. He always felt a little creepy.

There's no chance of a comeback for him. I can still see new movies featuring him and rewatch others but he is done.

I think maybe in like 10 years or more he could maybe be back if the thing ever dies down or with new management. Otherwise, he would be lucky to get a job even as a dishwasher in a commissary.

His creepiness was one of his big assets.

Great actor; I agree with Terrapin Station that his ‘creepiness,’ as we’ve called it, was one of greatest assets. It was kind of strange watching him on talkshows; he didn’t seem comfortable except when he was doing one of his impressions on them. His Johnny Carson impression is the best I’ve ever heard; his Jimmy Stewart, though less on-target, is quite funny as well. But he always had this vaguely supercilious air about him in everything. (God, “had.” It sounds like he’s dead.) He knows how to make the most of a line and tailor it to that persona, but his range was—limited, I suppose, but I don’t think a limited range is necessarily a bad quality especially for film actors. Well, now, I dunno, no more Spacey? I wonder if you’re right about his return in 10-15 years, WarrenPeace ; he’d really have to plan it out, as if he returns too soon he’ll be ruined. Wow, those demonstrate the very definition of ‘random musings’…

Kinda like when an American football pro can't make it in America and goes to Canada to play.

He's ok but overrated for sure.
He was the asshole/wimp who is victorious in Glengarry Glen Ross, Seven, the Usual Suspects.
Richard Harrison might be the best example of someone who couldnt make it in Hollywood and turned it into an asset. He did a lot of movies in Europe and Asia and ended up rich.
Barbara Bach and Barbara Bouchet also skipped Hollywood for Europe.

Spacey appeared to play Spacey to me, just with different character names. I don't mind watching him, because he was great at delivering his lines and he does has a strong screen persona. I just feel that there are better actors out there. I never got all the hype surrounding him and it was more about his charisma.
It would be very brave and courageous of him, if Spacey was to attempt to bring himself into the spotlight again. Things do blow over and a hiatus perhaps wont hurt. The thing is, with the judgement and condemnation of many of the simpleton herd who go to see movies, producers may not want to hire him if they feel his name may affect the box office. He might be best to stick to less mainstream, low profile product for now.
It might also have the opposite effect of what I have mentioned. People may be curious to see "that" new movie with Spacey in it.

I always thought of him as a lobotomized Jack Lemmon.

Which should have been STV from the beginning for him even though he didn't do any sexual misconduct that we know of yet.

Never liked him or his Mr Potato-like face--only 2 films where I thought he was ok were American Beauty and Superman Returns
