Definitely Darth Maul. Sometimes less is more. And nothing beats that entrance.

Green Goblin was pretty cringeworthy imo . He looked like something out of a Power Rangers show lol.
Gotta go with Darth Maul on this one.

A silent red menace versus a hammy green buffoon. Gee, which to choose......

Darth Maul. Though I will give you how Green Goblin is the one featured in a better written movie for character depth.

Darth Maul was one of the few bright spots of the prequels.

Maul is still one of the coolest movie villains.

Green Goblin was the more menacing villain, IMO. Although, Darth Maul was the best part of Episode I.

Don't mess with the Maul...and he was not even the greatest villain in that movie, not even close. Thank you Lucas for giving us so many fresh, iconic villains in a time of lack of originality, imagination and artistic balls. Dafoe is underrated though, he is the best SpiderMan villain, I like him slightly better than Dr Octopus who is considered to be the unchallenged champion by most. Shame about the costume though.

It's a close one but I'll go with Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin. Darth Maul was a lot cooler looking and more subtle but I feel like he didn't have a lot to do and his character wasn't very fleshed out. It kind of left me wanting more, although that could also be a good thing. Willem Dafoe would go a little too over the top while in costume but when he was just Norman Osborn he was a lot more intimidating. That scene when he's in Peter's room, for example, gives me chills every time.
