Was such a hunk and heartthrob to the ladies.
Made some really good and memorable classic movies.
Then turned into this giant anti-semitic asshole cursing up a storm and yelling at others.
Too bad because he was so likable.

Many Hollywood celebrities have said absolutely idiotic things, but the book came down 10000 harder on Gibson because his wrong-doing stemmed from what would be perceived as right-leaning sentiments.

Too bad because he was so likable. He destroyed his face with his chain smoking--Look at him in the Bounty in 1984, and how he looked just 15 years later in Payback,huge difference, and today of course he looks like just some kind of homely homeless man---His father was a Neo-Nazi who claimed "only' 300,000 Jews were killed in the death camps(actual total of all people who died in the hundreds of death camps were 11 million)and Mel's freakout over his ex-wife on the phone where he screamed at her "I hope you get raped by a pack of ni##ers!" screaming at her so much that he couldn't breathe |

They weren't right leaning unless you are saying right leaning is anti-semitism. I don't have a problem with Gibson since he apologized, made amends, kept the friends that should have abandoned him, & still contributes something positive to film. The positives outweigh the negatives and I rarely can hold an unforgivable sin level grudge against someone who is contrite. |
