...ies is like dumb 2000's teens and adults saying they love post 2000's post-grunge and Nickelback and they think their better than Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, etc.
People like this seriously need to get their heads examined for their taste in film.
Also:
The Dark Knight Trilogy = Creed fans (LOSERS)
One day, Christian Bale will be the Scott Stapp of the film industry and become one of the most reviled men in the entertainment industry. His Batman will be viewed worse than George Clooney's Batman.

You mean also, that if they like today's action films ? They're wrong too because that would be a poor representation of action films compared to lets say, the 90's? Or before?

Anyone who likes Attack of the Clones over Last Jedi would have to like Nickelback too.

Any analogy that has Pearl Jam, Green Day, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden as some sort of comparable benchmark of quality instantly makes little sense

Go back to crying over you're Beatles records and watching stupid boring films that nobody used to care about.

Go back to crying over you're Beatles records and watching stupid boring films that nobody used to care about. Ha! Wrong. I saw most of these bands before their big break through albums and one or two times after. Nirvana I saw numerous times supporting bands like Mudhoney and Tad (the Sub Pop scene was pretty popular in the UK some time before Nevermind). Probably had/have more experience of these bands than you ever did.
