Because ... how the hell do you top THAT!
Without a doubt, Infinity War has to be the most EPIC superhero movie ever made. Nothing else even comes remotely close.
Marvel just set set the bar so high that even they are going to be hard pressed to maintain that level of awesomeness. And the competition? Fugetaboutit. They might as well pack it in now. Cancel the release of Aquaman to avoid embarrassing comparisons, and go straight to video. Even Antman & Wasp and Deadpool 2 will have difficulty in the wake of Infinity War ... unless they really change it up and offer something completely different.
Avengers: Infinity War is a landmark seismic shift in the superhero movie landscape. Nothing will ever be the same again.

It's funny say that because I'm assuming Infinity War 2 will at the very least be much better than Infinity War.

A similar event movie except with Fantastic Four and X-men in addition. Plus whatever this franchise could be that Feige was referring to.
All of them teaming up to take on Galactus and his heralds. It can always be bigger.

This was actually the central piece of criticism in my review: "I did leave the cinema wondering whether IW (or "part 1," I guess) will still feel as epic as the first half of a ~5 hour film."They've set quite a high bar with this for themselves, financially and creatively.

You make the next few movies smaller and more personal. Deal with the consequences of a post-IW world.

ArArArchStanton made a good suggestion with them adapting the 'Annihilation' storyline. Or just go with Galactus I guess.

Plus they put themselves in a bit of a corner. You can't have all of those that died actually be dead, but bringing them all back would be a mistake that many would call them out for. Then how can they bring some back, but not others?
One option I've heard is that we might see a "soul swap," where the original Avengers that were left alive will sacrifice themselves to save the new crew. That'd be a ballsy and heartbreaking move, so I really don't think they'll do that.

You make the next few movies smaller and more personal. Deal with the consequences of a post-IW world. I was thinking that they should make the Avengers movies more like the Guardians movies in that it's a group characters that don't have solo movies. With new characters coming in and the Marvel brand becoming that much bigger they can forgo calling the event movies Avengers: Subtitle. They can start calling the movies Marvel's Storyline. Only Evans and Hemsworth are Avengers with solo movies at this point. And Evans is leaving.

Great show. The movie stunk, but it stunk in an interesting way. (Now I’m pondering how something can literally stink in an interesting way… Nah, no point.) The"so bad its good" Rocky Horror? Well, not exactly. Something like Plan 9 from Outer Space or The Room counts as “so bad it’s good” because it’s enjoyable because its myriad of flaws. The ’98 Avengers isn’t really enjoyable—it’s painfully slow and even, for long stretches, unwatchable. Yet, in its own way, it’s interestingly bad because it’s such a weird experiment from a big-budget studio that gave the producer and director a lot of money to play around with, and it has a number of delightfully kooky Avengers elements: giant teddy bears, invisible men, male spy chiefs code-named “Mother,” ad gloriam. Also, the casting isn’t too bad: while Ralph Fiennes doesn’t look a thing like Patrick Macnee, he’s a more than serviceable John Steed, and Jim Broadbent and Sean Connery as “Mother” and the hammy villain, respectively, are inspired choices. (Not so much Uma Thurman as Emma, but that’s bowing to studio pressure, I’m sure.) But the movie is painfully dull and incredibly stupid, and watching it exposes a fatal flaw with the concept: The Avengers show simply doesn’t work as a movie. Its plots are kooky-Bond-times-ten, yes, but it’s not Bond; it’s very much its own thing, to the extent that the only thing in common with Bond is that the leads are British spies. (I think Macnee’s on record as saying that he didn’t like Bond, though he made an appearance in a Moore Bond. And Diana Rigg was, of course, Mrs. James Bond.) So explosions, action scenes, even just a big budget simply don’t work for The Avengers; the very concept calls for ingenious, small-scale plotting, outrageous conceits, characterization, finely-tuned British acting, and more than anything wit, which is at the center of the show. The movie lacked all these elements, and turning it into another summer blockbuster showed it simply as a weird and badly-made movie. Wow, a long rant about a bad movie. Heh. It’s a great show, so I really suggest you look into it if you haven’t already. Something like “The Town of No Return,” with a typically brilliant Avengers opening—a man walks out of the sea in a garbage bag!—is a good starting-point. And thanks for posting the opening music!

If the MCU only had the guts to make the following movies in a post apocalyptic world...
